Peel was the busiest of the GTA's three western and central regions in July, posting the highest sales count of the group. It also carried the most choice for buyers — a market where preparation pays off but the pressure is a notch lighter than in tighter Durham.
Peel saw 1,053 sales in July at an average price of $910,007 — below the roughly $1.00 million GTA average, keeping it firmly in relative-value territory. The region logged 2,875 new listings and 5,055 active listings, working out to 5.0 months of inventory — the most breathing room of the three regions we cover and slightly above the GTA-wide 4.6. Homes took about 30 days to sell at 97 per cent of asking.
Three markets, three different buys

What it means for you
With a bit more inventory on the shelf, Peel buyers have room to compare and negotiate on the right listing — while sellers benefit from strong, steady demand, especially in Mississauga and Brampton where near-asking sales remain the norm. The extra choice is real, but it doesn't mean lowball offers land; well-priced homes still move close to ask.
These are city-wide averages across all home types. What they can't tell you is what your exact area and property type are doing right now — that's the number we break down for our clients street by street.
